My Sweet SixteeN**

My Sweet Sixteen was held this Saturday, on Valentines Day at a quiet lodge.

All of my peers from school attended. There was plentiful food, great music, and tons of dancing

I was quite nervous at first because it wasn't many people there when the doors first opened.

By 9:30, there were a lot of people there! A group of my friends performed a local song of theirs

I had a blast!

It was a night to remember:)

Its My Birthday!!

The day has finally come!

Today is my 16th birthday!!

I've been excited all year long about this special day

All of my friends anf family wished me a happy birthday,

This day couldn't get any better:)

My First Appearance

My first appearance was at the crowning of Tashay (Miss. Black GA '09). I was SO ecstatic! I hadn't done anything as the Queen yet and I felt great to get out!

I invited my best friend and we arrived right before it started.

I spoke to all of the contestants and took my seat.

The theme was "Arabian Nights", so they did an Arabian dance. I was beaming because their choreographer also created the opening number for my opening number. Theirs was good, but I felt proud because ours was AWESOME!

The show was a treat and right before the crowning I was announced and stood up and waved to the audience. It was great.

After they announced the winner, I applauded and related so much to Tashay.

They worked hard for that night just as I had a few months before.

I remember that day as a good one:)

Introduction

Hello 2 all!
I really just wanted to use this 1st blog to introduce myself--
:waves: I'm Tierra! :)

Being a Queen isn't what many people think.
It requires many sacrifices, time, & effort.
I want to set an example, and by doing so, I've given back to my community

Each month, I do 2 acts of community service.
Although getting up really early isn't much fun, I feel good at the end of the day because I know I did something for someone other than myself.

So when you look at me, I want you to see more than just a Crown & Sash--
I want you to see a sincere, loving person as well:)
